Food Safety Management System

    ISO 22000 is the fundamental food safety management system standard. It enables any organization directly or indirectly involved in the food chain to identify its relevant risks and to manage them efficiently.

    The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has development the ISO 22000 food safety management system standard. Officially called, ISO 22000:2005, Food safety management systems demand for safe food. This has led to the development of numerous food safety standards.
    The growing number of national standards has let to a confusion.

    Consequently, there is a need for international harmonization. 

    The ISO 22000 standard has been designed to be compatible and harmonized with other international management system standards, including ISO 9001. It is therefore ideal for integration with existing management systems and processes. lSO22000 is applicable to all organizations including the Hotels, restaurants, and other food services directly or indirectly involved in the food chain. This includes producers of raw material, producers of packaging or detergents, suppliers of cleaning services, pest control, or industrial laundry services. 

    It allows you to assess and demonstrate conformity of the product in relation to food safety and to demonstrate control of food safety hazards. 

    ISO 22000:2OO5 is intended to define the requirements for companies that desire to exceed the regulatory requirements for food safety.
